| Details: | Tap into the sweet history of maple sugaring at GCV&M's annual Maple Sugar Festival! Gather family and friends to enjoy an outdoor exploration of the history of maple sugaring in NY State. Start your adventure at our Sugarhouse, then, journey through a 19th-century sugar camp to see the techniques and tools that early settlers used to collect sap and make maple sugar. Meander in and out of historic homes around the Village and explore uses for maple syrup and sugar – and even sample some historic “receipts" (called recipes, today!). Don’t forget to visit the Flint Hill Store, where you can find maple products made with syrup tapped right here at GCV&M!
