Play, Pretend, & Practice Improv Comedy Skills

If you’re like us, you really want to get back into playing, pretending, and practicing our improv comedy skills. So, let’s get to it!

Big Couch NOLA is offering a free, outdoor practice for improvisers of all levels. We’ll do a warm up, run through an activity that targets a particular tool in your improv toolbox, and perform scenes for one another. Whether you know a little or a lot about improv, you can meet and connect with others and start having all the fun!

We are holding these sessions from 10 am to 12 pm on weekend days at the Newman Bandstand at Audubon Park - Golf Club Drive, New Orleans, LA 70118. Given this is an outdoor event, it is subject to cancellation due to weather within one hour of the event.

Please register to help us get a headcount, but you are welcome to just drop-in at any point during the two hour event! Also, we recommend bringing your own folding chair if you feel you might want to sit at any point.

To support the health and safety of our community, COVID-19 vaccination is required. We will check this upon arrival at the drop-in. Masks are optional. Additionally, we will discuss physical contact at the start of the session so that those that wish to maintain distancing can have that respected.
