ABOUT THE EVENT
We are ecstatic to present the opening night and reconnection of these two amazing dance scenes ZOUK AND BACHATA in collaboration with Bachata Rosa. Zenzouk and Bachata Rosa will be splitting the ballroom in 1/2 to create an amazing cross culture environment of our dance scenes and two different parties EVERY THIRD FRIDAY OF THE MONTH. Just like the hey days of Bachata and Zouk integration on Friday evenings that held an amazing vibe, we wish to bring it back only with a bigger ballroom for Zouk!. We WELCOME all of you to come out to our opening night and let's once again get our beautiful communities dancing in an amazing spot and location once again! We await in anticipation to dance with you together again! Please join us for our ZOUK and Bachata Workshops before hand!

WORKSHOPS:

Brazilian Zouk founded on the roots of Lambada will be taught every third Friday with Two workshops staring at 8:00 PM. We will be alternating instructors and levels to provide diversity in learning. We will also be providing foundational intro classes as well. This coming Friday Jessica Lamdon and Shane Rasnak will be kicking off the festivities! More info on topics coming.

For Bachata, 3 Levels of workshops will be provided at 9 which is included in the party entrance.

ABOUT JESSICA LAMDON
Jessica Lamdon, also known as "Unicorn", (the nickname she was crowned by her mentor and partner Ry'el) instructor, performer, actor, loves to MC, professional hugger, has been dancing since she was 8 years old. She began with competitive international 10-dance ballroom dancing and was fortunate enough to compete and place in international competitions such as Black Pool and represent the US in the Worlds Competition in 2007.Jessica flirted with other Latin dances and styles. She then totally emerged into acting for stage and film throughout high school and college, while earning her BA in Psychology.Along the way, the Unicorn got bit by the Brazilian Zouk bug in 2012 and never recovered.She has had the honor of training with her mentor, partner, and founder of ZenZouk Ry'el Velandia and getting certified by Kim Rottier. Jessica has had the pleasure of traveling to teach and perform in congresses throughout the states and Europe. She also had the privilege of partaking in a workshop and performance of hit show Braz Dos Santos's Brazouka.Jessica is so proud to be representing ZenZouk and grateful to have Brazilian Zouk Lambada be in her life and the lives of others.She is so humbled and excited to share her discoveries in movement.

ABOUT SHANE RASNAK
Shane Rasnak has been a devoted student of Brazilian Zouk in NYC since 2014, and has been teaching Zouk for over six years. He was certified as a Zouk Instructor by Kim Rottier of Zouk NY, and trained for over five years in Zouk Lambada under Ryel Velandia and Jessica Lamdon of ZenZouk. He is versatile in both dances and in addition, has been teaching alongside national/international talent over the years at NYC ZOUK FESTIVAL in the successful Dare to Zouk Program.

Shane is the organizer of a weekly social in Manhattan on Thursday nights called the NYC Senior Zouk Social, and has performed for audiences at numerous dance festivals including NYC, Boston, Miami, DC, Atlantic City, and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. For this series, Shane will be assisted by several advanced Brazilian Zouk dancers from the NYC Zouk community.
