Details: | The Red Earth Art Center is proud to announce the opening of "Our Common Thread," a new art exhibition that focuses on the indigenous tribes… More of South and Central America. Featuring works by renowned Kichwa artist, Alejandro Vaca, from Quito, Ecuador, as well as Molas from the Guna of Panama. The exhibition is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the intricate and meaningful textiles created by the Kichwa and Guna tribes. These textiles are not just works of art, they are a reflection of the culture, history, and traditions of these indigenous people. Bringing attention to the underrepresented indigenous communities and encouraging visitors to learn more about the rich cultural heritage of these tribes. The exhibition is a reminder that although we may come from different backgrounds, we all share a common thread of humanity, and it is through art, in this case, textile art, we can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world around us.
