| Details: | Travel adventure and photography education merge on this all-day tour that includes a 75-minute scenic ferry ride across Penobscot Bay passing through Hurricane Sound, and The Reach to one of the areas largest working harbors. Scenery will include many small islands and expect to see marine wildlife such as seals, ducks, ospreys and bald eagles, and occasionally porpoises. Once on the island you will explore the rich granite and fishing history, the rocky coastline landscape, and the working harbor. Strolling through the village we may visit the history museum, unique small shops with arts and hand made crafts, an interesting cemetery, a print maker's artist studio, fine art galleries, and along the way be able to feel the pulse of the island community. |
