Townhall is an indie hip-hop band born out of Covid-19 pandemic when two LA musicians ran into each other at a grocery store. Realizing they only lived two houses from each other, they got together and quickly uncovered their shared multi-instrumentalist backgrounds. What started as a joke about conducting weekly "townhall" meetings soon became the perfect name for the band.
Over the following months, they recorded and produced their debut EP, 91356. Townhall's musical acumen spans multiple genres, uniquely combining guitar with hip-hop, R&B with rock, and rap with pop/dance.
The band's members have won multiple awards including a #1 spot on MTV's Most Popular Videos, a hit in the U.S Billboard Charts, and LA Times coverage on their show, raising spirits during quarantine. |
