Ring in the New Creative Year with Surround Project! Join us as we kick off 2026 and our refreshed vision for Surround Project!
We?re hosting auditions on Sunday, January 11, as we widen our circle of actors for Surround Project?s 2026 season. The session will be casual and fun as we meet new creatives, connect with familiar faces from Surround, and begin casting for our upcoming projects.

ACTORS NEEDED!
We?re especially excited to meet new-to-Surround actors ages 18?45, particularly those who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+. Please complete our audition form to reserve your spot. (If we already know your work well, we may invite you directly to callbacks.)
SPACE IS LIMITED! Once you have submitted your application, you'll receive an email confirmation of your place in the audition workshop session.
This isn?t your standard monologue audition.
Join us for a three-hour ensemble audition workshop with snacks, bevvies, games, cold readings, and even a small craft. It?s a chance to:

A NOTE ON CONTENT
For those who prefer a heads-up: the plays in our 2026 season explore challenging themes?including SA, death by suicide, current politics, religion, and other difficult topics. Surround Project works closely with subject-matter experts, and we practice deep care in every gathering. Please take care of yourself as needed.
Surround Project Play Dates (staged readings with 5 or more rehearsals) will take place on these dates:

Surround Project is a San Antonio-based theatre collective, led by artists Eva Laporte and Zach Lewis, dedicated to producing awesome contemporary American plays that are seen in the city for the first time.
