Details: | Art for All Seasons: Landscapes of the American Chestnut Land Trust is the culmination of a year of local artists creating plein air works of art depicting the beautiful landscapes found throughout the American Chestnut Land Trust's preserved lands surrounding Parkers Creek in Calvert County, Maryland. ACLT is a member-supported nonprofit whose mission is to promote land conservation and preservation throughout Southern Maryland. Since its inception in 1986, ACLT has helped to preserve over 3800 acres in the Parkers Creek and Governors Run watersheds. ACLT connects people to the land via 25+ miles of trails that run through dense forests, farm fields and meadows, and along gurgling streams. ACLT also supports the food-insecure members of the local community by donating produce raised at its Double Oak Farm to the local food bank. Proceeds from the exhibition will allow ACLT to continue its mission for the benefit of this and future generations.
