| Details: | The annual Archaeology Day and Birthday Bash at the Spiro Mounds Archaeological Center celebrates the public opening of the only prehistoric Native American archaeological site in Oklahoma. Throughout the day, archaeologists will look at collections to identify artifacts, Native American artists will show their wares and several lectures on local history and prehistory will be given. Visitors to this event will also enjoy guided tours of this fascinating site. Don't forget to stay for birthday cake to celebrate Spiro Mounds Archaeological Center's decades-long efforts to increase awareness of the Oklahoma's archaeology contributions. |
