|Title:||Stories from the Road: TCM Narratives on the Journey of Faith|
|Address:||Christ Episcopal Church, 310 North K Street|
|Hours:||7 PM - 9 PM|
|Cost/Cover:||See details below.|
|Details:||TCM’s Live Story Event this year is themed “Stories From the Road.” John Steinbeck wrote in Travels with Charley “We don’t take a trip, a trip takes us.” Our own faith journeys echo Steinbeck’s words. We all know that the journey of faith is filled with twists, turns, incredible views, and often lots of flat tires. Join us for a very special intimate listening event where TCM alumni, current students and community members tell short stories about their lives, influences and wild times on the road of faith.|
Once gathered, we will be treated to three stories from three people who represent different eras of TCM; Kelly Moody, Louisa Raitt (15), & a current student Collin Noble (19).
The evening will include good food and drink; essential to an evening of good storytelling. There will be time for conversation and connecting before and after the main event where we hope you will all reminisce fondly about meaningful and amusing stories of days gone by.
Get ready for a dessert dash, a raffle of some amazing trips, experiences, and items, and a few words from TCM Director and alumna Christy Fisher; this will be an evening you won't want to miss!
Doors open at 7pm. The main event will start at 7:30pm and conclude no later than 9pm. We invite guests to use the church's courtyard entrance by following the luminary-lit path. We hope many of you continue to hang out after the event to swap stories for as long as you like. We will make sure the food and drink are still flowing!
Stories are built in community so we are offering tiered ticketing to ensure that everyone can attend. Whether you are in a position to sponsor someone else's ticket ($60), cover the cost of your own ($30), or pay a reduced rate ($15), we want your story and your voice to be present.
Additionally, the ticket price is your first opportunity to donate. This helps us cover the overhead and costs of the event so that all of the money raised by the event goes directly to support TCM. We feel like this will really be a night where you are inspired and entertained with good dining, music, and stories. By attending, you are bringing your own narrative to this event and helping us write our next story.
