| Details: | A compelling new play delves into the endless secrets surrounding the life of a troubled teenager who has grown up without a father. His mother, terrified and unsure where to turn, watches as her son seeks the help of his childhood imaginary friend. But what could this friend possibly offer, even if he can be found? Samantha York, a single Black woman in Oklahoma, has raised her only son on her own. When the boy turns 17, he begins to struggle in life and becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth about his father. For Samantha to reveal the truth, she must confess to a 17-year-old deception. The situation is further complicated by DNA testing, as Eli, the son, hopes to connect with his potential siblings and is puzzled by the results of the test not reflecting his expected ethnicity.
