| Details: | Join artists, educators, art historians, and arts advocates for the Citizen Artist Summit, a weekend of workshops, talks, and community building, exploring the impact of federal arts funding and the ways artists shape civic life. Connect with participants across disciplines and consider how lessons from the past can help inform the future.
The summit is presented in conversation with the Citizen Artist exhibition. Throughout the weekend, artists, scholars, and cultural leaders will lead conversations, tours, and programs that explore the evolving role of artists in public life.

Cant stay for a full day of programming? Stop by for the Lunchtime Creative Breaks on Friday and Saturday. These sessions are included with Museum admission for the day and offer a great opportunity to engage with the summit. Lunch is not included, but we encourage you to visit Kaffeina Caf for a bite to eat before or after the program.

Thursday, July 9 Sculpture Garden Happy Hours: Citizen Artist Summit
5:00 pm 7:30 pm
Join us as we launch the Citizen Artist Summit. Sculpture Garden Happy Hours are lively, relaxed evenings filled with music, creativity, and community. Enjoy live performances, a cash bar, local food trucks, Kaffeina Caf, lawn games, and various arts and crafts vendors.
During the bands break, co-curator Dorothy Fisher, Lynn Herrick Sharp Curatorial Fellow, will lead a gallery talk in Citizen Artist from 6:00 6:30 pm.
