|Details:||At Saddles of Joy, Yuma's premier therapeutic riding center, we know that the mental health of you and your family is as important as your physical health. To that end, we are offering opportunities to get some fresh air and come visit the animals. While we do not have a set entrance fee, donations are graciously accepted for the care of the animals.|
Guidelines for visiting the ranch to protect the volunteers and visitors:
*These guidelines are to protect volunteers, visitors and students.
• Stay home if sick, at higher risk for severe illness, have serious underlying medical conditions or tested positive for COVID 19 in the last 14 days.
• Stay at least 6 feet away from other patrons-social distancing will be monitored and enforced. If needed, we will limit the number of people at a time so visitors may remain comfortable.
• Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth. Wear a mask.
*Families MUST stay together. Children may not run loose.
*No horse rides just yet, however lessons are available to schedule.
• We have a hand washing station that provides soap. After leaving the ranch, and before you get in your car, use hand sanitizer. When you get home, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
The ranch and it's residents, especially the four legged therapists, rely on us humans to maintain their daily care so that they'll be always ready to serve the community that needs them.
Please consider volunteering for yourself, your club, your family, etc. You can download an application here: http://www.saddlesofjoyinc.org/volunteering.html
Saddles of Joy is open to the public to enjoy the spirit of horses and ranch life on Saturday mornings! Come, bring the kids, to visit the ranch and petting farm, have a horseback ride. Horseback rides are available if we have enough volunteers that day. Wear sturdy shoes!
Saddles of Joy is a therapeutic riding facility that operates solely on hard working volunteers and is funded by donations. Monetary and in-kind donations are always greatly appreciated, as that is how we pay for the needs of our community's very special animals. Play Day lets them be shared with all who support and love them.
Saturday Play Day from 8am-12pm, times are adjusted seasonally. For the safety of horses, volunteers and visitors, we will put the riding horses away when the ambient temperature reaches 95 degrees. Thank you for supporting Saddles of Joy!
