Description: |
The Assistant Director of Human Resources for Recruitment and Employment is primarily responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the staffing and recruitment process, new employee onboarding, new employee training, and employee recognition programs and events.
In addition, as a member of the Human Resources administrative team, the Assistant Director assists with and coordinates other core functional human resources areas including new hire and employee data management, payroll processing, HR data analytics, employee relations, and other HR generalist functions.Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources with specific experience in employment and recruiting required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of best practices in human resources.
• Knowledge of employment laws as it relates to recruiting and hiring.
• Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external constituents.
• Knowledge of and direct experience with HR information systems.
• Strong commitment to continuous process improvement and customer service.
• Excellent team, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Excellent technology skills and knowledge of Excel, Word and Google docs. Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in higher education strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Banner/Ellucian systems preferred.
• Previous experience in employee relations matters strongly preferred. ADA Statement
