Description: |
Our Human Resources Department for an Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for the submission of CORI, OIG, Driving records, reference and employment/income checks, etc. The position also coordinates the onboarding process, assist in the scanning of our personnel files as well as provide overall administrative support and maintenance of day-to-day transactional HR functions. This position is a 40 hrs, Monday-Friday, 9-5 and it’s compensated on an hourly basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Submit CORI, OIG, Driving Record, Reference checks and Fingerprinting for potential candidates.
• Manage requests for verification of employment (loans, mortgages, housing, jobs, etc.)
• Schedule and complete New Hire Paperwork appointments with new employees; to include creating the Orientation schedule, job descriptions, etc.
• Manage employee ID photo badges.
• Assist at Career Events.
• Maintain a current working knowledge of all state, federal and local laws as they pertain to the Human Resource function in order to ensure Venture’s compliance in a timely manner.
• Responsible for computerized Personnel Records (Paylocity, iCIMS) and maintenance of information.
• Filing/scanning for the Human Resource Department / Personnel files, as needed
• Cross-trained in all Human Resources job duties, back up for the HR and Front Office Staff.
• Various administrative duties as assigned
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities
• Attendance at administrative and other meetings as required.
• Respond to employee information requests, as appropriate.
• Provide recommendations to your supervisor regarding ways to improve the current systems
• Observe all Agency policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and positive demeanor while successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Accept responsibility and accountability as part of the position
Physical and Mental REQUIREMENTS
• Maintain CPR & AED Certifications
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources preferred.
• Work discreetly with highly confidential information and employment records.
• Organized, dependable and even temperament; good phone manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of office equipment.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of employees.
• Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, reach and file.
Minimum acceptable qualifications
• Minimum one-year HR experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old, have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license |
