We are looking for professional, upbeat, motivated, team-oriented individuals that want to work in a busy, challenging, and fun environment to expand our back of the house team. We need someone that has experience and loves working with food. Must have knife good skills, knowledge of basic cooking techniques, and be able to handle a very high-volume station. We need someone that is willing to learn, someone that knows the importance of following recipes, and has a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and be able to prepare food to the exact chef's specifications. Full service cooks only need apply. Fast food experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
-Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
-Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
-Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
-Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
-Clean/break down station after service
-Stock inventory appropriately
-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
-Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
-Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
Requirements:
-Proven cooking experience
-Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
-Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
-Familiar with industry's best practices
-Culinary school diploma a plus
Nights, weekends and most holidays are required.
