Seeking a dynamic and creative PT editor for a new local monthly magazine focused on arts, entertainment, history, food, travel, lifestyles, and the people. Position is part-time with a flexible schedule.
Duties including preparing monthly editorial budgets and annual editorial calendar, writing features, assigning supplemental stories and photos to freelancers, evaluating page designs, setting deadlines (in conjunction with Creative Director), maintaining expenses and proofreading/copy editing. Magazine experience, and interviewing skills. This position works directly with both the Publisher and Creative Director.
We are looking for a strategic thinker who works well with others and aspires to perfection. If you are an excellent writer, editor and proofreader who enjoys taking ownership of publications and has the organizational skills to guide projects from planning through printing, we want to hear from you!
Experience:
Research Interviewing:
3 years (Preferred)
Editing: 5 years (Preferred)
