Through the perspectives of four artists with connections to Zhegagoynak, the exhibition Woven Being: Art for Zhegagoynak/Chicago explores confluences that continue to shape Indigenous creative practices in the region and beyond.
Meet the Block Museum Student Associates in our galleries for a close look at one or two works on view in Woven Being: Art for Zhegagoynak/Chicagoland.
Block Museum Student Associates (BMSAs) are Northwestern undergraduates representing interdisciplinary fields of study from across the university. In the galleries, the BMSAs engage The Block's visitors in conversations about artworks that spark their curiosity and ideas that are relevant to our lives today.
Participation level - medium, participants are encouraged to respectfully share their own perspectives, thoughts, and questions throughout the Art Talk.
