| Description: |
Immediate need for Copy Editor. Pay rate $50-60/hr
Responsibilities:
• Fact checking: ensuring all copy is factually correct
• Verifying content containing factual ambiguities with business leaders, such as Creative Copy, PR, Brand etc.
• Ensuring copy runs to optimum length and editing, or giving feedback where copy needs to be edited to new spec recommendations
Skills:
• Must know how to use the MS Office suite-Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Highly proficient at navigating Apple OS and applications
• Experienced at using Adobe CS5. 5, Adobe Acrobat
• Very adept at using applications and other CMS platform
Qualifications:
• Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of ownership of one?s work
• Track record of excellent copyediting/proofreading work
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from many individuals and disciplines
• Considerable understanding of the jewelry/luxury industry (preferred, but not required)
